Dedicated and empathetic individuals are sought to join our team as Hospice Aides, providing personalized care to patients and their families during a sensitive time. This role offers the chance to connect with individuals, offer support, and bring dignity to their end-of-life journey. What you’ll do as a Hospice Home Health Aide HHA: Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with daily activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining hygiene. Offer Emotional Support & Companionship: Build connections with patients and their families, providing comfort and a listening ear. Maintain a Safe & Comfortable Environment: ensure a clean and organized space, and prioritize patient safety. Monitor and Report Changes: Observe patient conditions and communicate any changes to the healthcare team. Support Care Plans: Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to follow individualized care plans. Assist with Mobility & Transfers: Help patients move safely and comfortably, using appropriate techniques and equipment. Who you are: Certification: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing. (Recommended) Experience: A minimum of six months of patient care experience, preferred in hospice, geriatric, or oncology. Training is available for the right candidate. Qualities: A genuine passion for helping others, compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills. Dependability: Punctual, professional, and reliable in following through with care plans. Mobility: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance for travel to patient homes. Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, strong communication skills (written and verbal), and understanding of hospice philosophy.
