Description Iowa City Hospice & the Visiting Nurse Association We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PRN Hospice Grant Writer to join our compassionate team. Key Responsibilities: - Research and identify potential grant opportunities relevant to hospice care and healthcare services - Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding - Maintain and manage a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements - Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to gather necessary information for grant applications - Track and report on the progress and outcomes of submitted grants - Ensure compliance with all grant guidelines and organizational policies - Maintain relationships with funding agencies and foundations to support ongoing funding efforts Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in healthcare or hospice settings - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong research and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines - Knowledge of healthcare funding sources, including government and private grants - Familiarity with hospice care services and regulations is a plus - Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, communications, nonprofit management, or related field preferred Our organization values a compassionate, collaborative culture that fosters growth and innovation.
