Description Join our dedicated team at Hospice of the Piedmont as a full-time Hospice Registered Nurse to manage cases and provide consistent, quality patient care. This position primarily covers but is not limited to Charlottesville. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide a nursing evaluation visit to new admissions. Regularly re-evaluate patient needs. Consult with the patient’s physician. Complete bedside documentation using the EMR. Coordinate and manage services offered by health team members. Help ensure the final chapter of your patient’s life is one of quality, compassion, and dignity. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a valid license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Two years of relevant nursing experience is preferred. Driver’s license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance Typical Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Drive long distances to homes and facilities Must be prepared to work in home environments that have difficult working conditions including, but not limited to cramped space, pets, dirt, allergens, smoke, limited seating The job requires regular use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, and involves sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, walking, and climbing steps.
