We are seeking a Hospice Social Worker (MSW) who is interested in serving Good Sam in the New River Valley area. Your Role as a Hospice Social Worker: Generous mileage reimbursement paid out bi-weekly. Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families. Assist with advance care planning, counseling, and bereavement services. Coordinate community resources to help families navigate hospice care. Collaborate with nurses, chaplains, and other team members to provide holistic care. Advocate for patients’ needs and provide guidance through difficult transitions. What You Bring to the Team: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required. State licensure (LMSW or LCSW) preferred. 2 years of Experience in hospice, palliative care, or a healthcare setting preferred. Strong communication, counseling, and advocacy skills. A heart for service and supporting others in their time of need.
