This unique dual-role position combines Hospice Volunteer Program support with Medical Records administration. You will work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to assist with volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and program operations while also supporting the Medical Records Department through record management, documentation processing, and administrative support. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual who enjoys both people-focused and detail-oriented work.    Why You’ll Love Working at Interim  Our Hospice Volunteer Assistant enjoy some excellent benefits: * 401K with company match * HSA with company match * Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage * Free mental health program * Generous PTO policy * Paid Holidays * Paid Parental Leave * Fitness Reimbursement   Hospice Volunteer Assistant Support: * Support Bereavement Program * Assist Volunteer Department * Serve as backup to Volunteer Coordinator for notifying volunteers of deaths/discharges * Aid Volunteer Coordinator in receiving volunteer referrals, assigning volunteers to patients, and informing hospice IDG team of assignments * Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator on program enhancement and growth * Develop and implement recruitment, training, and retention program for volunteers * Assign volunteer tasks based on skills and interests to meet program requirements * Manage volunteer files * Educate individuals and community groups on hospice volunteer services   Medical Records Specialist support: * Act as a key contact for patients, families, and staff—providing timely and accurate information. * Organize and manage patient records by reviewing, scanning, indexing, and archiving documents. * Support field staff and managers with clerical tasks like faxing, filing, and report prep. * Assist with patient referrals, mailings, and other interdepartmental communications. * Process medical record requests and ensure HIPAA compliance. * Back up clinical support tasks such as lab faxing and order tracking. What You’ll Need * High School or College Graduate * Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a healthcare setting. Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred. * Proven track record of success, growth, and reliability. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.  * Proven record of dependability, professionalism, and initiative. * Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidential record management preferred.
