Description Memorial Hospital in Aurora, NE is looking to fill the role of Dietary Cook. This position will be for full-time, AM shift. Every other weekend will be required for this position. The cook is responsible for the preparation of foods for patients and personnel, maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control, using standardized recipes, and ensuring appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements. Job Duties: Prepares and serves meals to patients, residents, visitors and staff according to menus. Maintains responsibility for high quality food preparation, proper food handling and sanitation. Demonstrates appropriate use, sanitation and care of equipment to provide a safe and sanitary work environment using required guidelines. Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Previous experience in food preparation and sanitation Knowledge of foods and preparation methods Ability to follow a standardized recipe and practice portion control Ability to understand regular and modified diets and use a menu as reference
