Description

Provide clinical services to patients of Top End Mental Health Service (TEMHS) at Training Registrar level and participate
fully in psychiatric training program of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

Responsibilities
  1. Admit, manage and discharge patients from the service under the supervision of the Director of Psychiatry with the aim
    of providing the highest possible standards of care.
  2. Fulfil statutory requirements under the Northern Territory Mental Health and Related Services Act and ensure that
    Northern Territory (NT) Legislation is accurately interpreted and utilised and that documentation is promptly completed.
  3. Participate in after-hours on call roster and attend daytime crisis calls in designated area of clinical responsibility.
  4. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
    undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplace.
  5. Practice in accordance with TEMHS philosophies, policies, procedures and standards; this includes establishing and
    maintaining appropriate client records and complying with management information system requirements.
