The Hospital Outpatient Coder Emergency Room/Ancillary reviews electronic medical record documentation, and applies ICD and CPT codes, per Official Coding Guidelines, with a specific focus on hospital emergency room and/or ancillary services. This position abstracts key data elements necessary for billing and data analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED - Required
• Associate degree Preferred or Bachelor’s degree - Preferred
• CCS or RHIT/RHIA - Required
• RHIT/RHIA - Preferred
• 2 years Coding - Preferred
