Description Memorial Community Health, Inc. in Aurora, NE is seeking a Phlebotomist for Memorial Hospital. This position would be part time, 16-24 hours per week with every other Saturday. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, excels at multi-tasking and is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service. Job Duties: Performs general phlebotomy procedures, to include arterial blood gas and blood culture collections. Performs nasal swab collections for respiratory infections and throat swab collections. Follows appropriate protocol in patient identification and specimen processing. Performs urine drug screen collections. Performs various clerical duties, including patient scheduling, order management, and order entry. Performs CLIA waived procedures. Maintains current knowledge and training on equipment and procedures. Provides administrative support for the Laboratory department. Performs and maintains documentation. Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of residents’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained. Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent Prior Phlebotomy experience required Phlebotomy certification considered, not required Microsoft Word and Excel preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Excellent customer service presence
