Description
To support the Director of Dietary in maintaining essential patient services on an as needed basis. The Registered Dietician will assess and document professional and technical competencies for other dieticians as part of the annual competency assessment. *Pay Range: $30/hr. to $45/hr. Essential functions: The Registered Dietitian shall provide clinical nutrition services to the inpatient population according to facility policies and procedures. In the absence of the Director, patient services provided may include direction and delivery of quality food and nutrition services under appropriate clinical supervision to patients to support the organization's delivery of appropriate patient care. The Dietitian is responsible and accountable to the Director of Dietary Services, medical staff, and administration staff for the provision of dietary services. The Dietician may consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and dietary restrictions. Oversee the provision of food of the quality and quantity to meet patient needs in accordance with physician orders and to the extent medically possible, to meet the RDAs. Key Responsibilities: Completes nutrition assessments per policy and procedure. Participate in treatment planning related to patient’s nutritional care plan Comply with all hospital policy and procedures.
