About the role Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking applications for the position of casual Hospital Steward. As a Hospital Steward you will be expected to demonstrate the Mater Values while providing a support service to our staff, patients and their families. Salary range: $32.02 - $34.52 per hour plus superannuation [https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/key-superannuation-rates-and-thresholds/super-guarantee] and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 [https://account.smartsalary.com.au/benefits-available?ercode=MML]  + access to many staff benefits!  [https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater] What you’ll be doing * Patient transport * Waste and Soiled Linen Management * Escorting discharged patients to their vehicles * Location and movement of equipment * Checking and replenishing of medical gases * Providing assistance with patient manual handling * Restocking and general tidying in departments * Assist with emergencies * Bed moves This varied and fast paced role will require you to be physically capable of transporting and moving/turning patients, as well as moving equipment.
