Description Summary/Objective: The aim of the role of a Wayfinder is to offer a friendly, efficient and helpful service to patients who are non-ambulatory and all visitors to the Watson Clinic. To meet and greet visitors, offering assistance with locating a department and offering to accompany them as appropriate. To provide guidance on car parking arrangements and to give information regarding the location of services such as toilets, café, shops, etc. To assist with general inquiries and assist with wheelchair support as needed. Essential Functions Able to demonstrate good verbal communication skills with a range of people through a variety of methods. Excellent customer service skills which prioritise the needs of the individual. Able to work as part of a team and independently. Ability to give clear instructions and concise directions. Must demonstrate commitment to the role and be reliable and punctual. Ability in dealing with difficult situations Able to demonstrate a polite and friendly approach, offering a welcoming service to the public. Flexible approach to work schedules Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to push wheelchairs/stretchers Requirements Required Education and Experience: High School diploma/GED equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. CPR within 90 days of employment. Preferred Education and Experience: Prior Hospitality/Healthcare experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Ability to pass Background Check, Ability to pass Drug Screening.
