Position: Hospitality Aide
Overview: The Hospitality Aide provides vital non-clinical support to residents, assisting with personal belongings, transporting residents, and maintaining a comfortable living environment. Under the direction of nursing staff, the aide performs tasks such as making beds, delivering snacks, and ensuring resident rooms are in order. This position supports the overall well-being of residents by helping meet their everyday needs and enhancing their overall experience at the facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be proficient in conversational English
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health of other individuals in the workplace.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility or department which may include a medical and physical examination.

Responsibilities
  • Performs only those care procedures that you have been trained to do.
  • Completes inventory and marks the residents’ personal possessions as instructed.
  • Assists residents with packing their personal possessions when they are being transferred to a new room, or when being discharged.
  • Transports residents to new rooms or to the receiving area.
  • Makes beds as instructed.
  • Puts extra covers on beds as requested.
  • Answers resident call promptly.
  • Checks residents routinely to ensure that their personal care needs are being met.
  • Serves between meal and bedtime snacks as instructed.
  • Checks rooms for food articles (i.e., food in proper container, unauthorized food items, etc.).
  • Demonstrate key competencies as required by the position and in accordance with State/Federal regulations.
