REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in the food industry, may include roles in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS system (Toast)
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Leadership qualities with experience in team management or supervising staff.
  • Ability to train new employees effectively in various aspects of restaurant operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting within a hospitality context.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong familiarity in wine varietals and alcohol service. Must be able to fill all front of house restaurant roles when needed.
  • Experience in restaurant management or hospitality management preferred. Pay rate dependent on previous management experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly. This includes the handling of customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Operate POS system for order processing and cash handling; oversee staff in daily POS operations; update menus and inventory in POS
  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering supplies, and reducing waste
  • Train and develop new staff members in customer service and operational procedures.
  • Supervise team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and catering services, assist expeditor during dinner service, coordinate front/back of house operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Participate in shift management activities to optimize workflow and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies. Social media management experience preferred, additional commission opportunity available for social media oversight.
  • Handle all guest communications in person, telephone, and via email
  • Respond, book and oversee the execution of private events at the restaurant (10% additional commission for all bookings)
  • Hours: Wednesdays - Sundays; minimum hours 330p-930p. Additional office hours weekly as applicable, approximately 3-5 hours. Off on Mondays & Tuesdays. Open year-round, located in South County, RI.
