We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in London, EC4A.
This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. Shifts of either 7am to 3:30pm or 10:30am 7pm.
Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.
We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. We can offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate.
This role involves supporting the day-to-day hospitality and event operations on site, catering for around 150 people daily within a site of 250.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and servicing meeting rooms to specification, providing beverage and food setups, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
The position requires greeting guests, assisting with enquiries, and ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
The role also includes coordinating with other departments to deliver catering and technical support, assisting with corporate events and functions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Food service ranges from buffet breakfasts with hot and cold options, to sandwiches, bistro-style meals, and fine dining events.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Have experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
  • Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
  • Have excellent customer service and social skills
  • Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
  • Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 5
  • Be customer focused
  • Have basic food knowledge
  • Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
