Description Job Summary: The purpose and objective of this safety sensitive position is to ensure all dishes, utensils and cookware are washed organized and kitchen area is kept clean and free from garbage through the supervision of the Kitchen Manager with additional input from the Director of Operations. The Hospitality Associate -Utility (Dishwasher) is a part time partial benefited position working between 20-25 hours per week Essential duties: • Operate dish machine and disposal • Monitor dishwashing equipment for proper performance • Wash and organize dishes, utensils and cookware • Keep floors cleaned and garbage emptied • Assist with regular kitchen cleaning and maintenance • Assist with food prep • Assist with organization of food deliveries • Assist servers with dining room set-up • Other duties as assigned Requirements Ensure high degree of safety for self and others Know high risk areas (under/above ground utility lines, fiber optics, etc.) and associated safety rules, regulations, etc. Safely operate tools of the trade Maintain Institute WRI standards as it relates to kitchen cleanliness Ability to collaborate with others to complete a task Ability to take direction from supervisors and co-workers Good verbal communication skills Reliable transportation Flexible work schedule Employee must safely and properly perform the following physical tasks: Stand for entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours) Lift minimum of approx. 50 lbs. Employee must safely and properly tolerate the following environmental factors: Lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc Ability to acclimate to varying temperatures Ability to accommodate use of detergents, soaps, scrubs and hot water on a constant basis Noises associated with responsibilities Quality Standards: The Institute expects safety, integrity, professionalism and high quality work from all employees.
