  • Associate’s degree in hospitality management or similar discipline
  • Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management or similar discipline preferred
  • Servsafe and RAMP certification

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality management
  • Two years related supervisory experience
  • Teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:

The Hospitality Education and Enterprise Coordinator assists with the administration, coordination, and instruction of all degree programs and supports enterprises associated with the School of Hospitality. This position will primarily be responsible for teaching degree and non-degree courses as assigned, developing curriculum, and working with the ERM to manage, instruct, train, supervise, and provide guidance to all students at the front of the house in 409 on Adams’ student run restaurant. This position requires skilled work in preparing and equipping students for academic and professional success in all areas of hospitality industries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Teach degree and non-degree courses as assigned; establish and maintain an organized classroom environment and excellent learning experiences for students.
  • Provide practical instruction to students during closed events held for instructional purposes.
  • Hold office hours for students.
  • Develop course material for furthering occupation and academic needs of college students.
  • Support and assist Program Director in program changes, data collection and assessment of program outcomes.
  • Support Program Director planning and coordination of new and existing degree and non-degree courses and enterprises associated with the School of Hospitality.
  • Work with the Director to design and execute experiential learning opportunities and creation of various revenue streams within the School of Hospitality
  • Advise, support, and assist students from inquiry through job placement.
  • Coordinate community service opportunities and hours for all SOH students
  • Assist in recruitment for all degree and non-degree programs.
  • Assist the ERM in front of the house operations for 409 on Adams student run restaurant and all other enterprises.
  • Manage social media for 409 on Adams and all enterprises within the SOH, coordinating with LC Marketing department when necessary.
