Strategic Buyer as Global Category Manager (m/f/d) in the Packaging Sector
You will lead global procurement activities for materials in the relevant category and develop a global procurement strategy. You will actively manage cost savings and productivity gains while maintaining or improving product quality and service levels. You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.
Your responsibilities:
- As a Global Category Manager, you will develop and implement procurement strategies while keeping a comprehensive overview of the market and industry.
- They maintain close relationships with their selected suppliers to ensure efficient supply chains and to guarantee the best possible prices, payment terms and service levels.
- You will be responsible for reviewing supplier performance and identifying and mitigating potential risks such as supply disruptions, price fluctuations, and legal changes. Working in collaboration with internal teams, you will align procurement strategies with our business objectives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- They promote the continuous automation and optimization of procurement processes.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and supply chain management, a qualification as a certified purchasing specialist (m/f/d) or similar, with several years of relevant experience in (strategic) procurement and supplier management.
- You are confident in your use of procurement software and tools (e.g. SAP, PowerBI).
- They are team players, possess leadership qualities and communication skills.
- With negotiation skills, organizational and project management abilities, you work in a solution-oriented manner in a dynamic environment.
- They have fluent German and English language skills (negotiation level).
