Job Details Job Location: Lake Lawn Resort - Delavan, WI 53115 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: None Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Hospitality - Hotel Welcome and greet guests. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guest to a table that best serves their wishes. Take reservations efficiently and correctly. Greet and seat guest using section rotation system, track station seating availability. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. Present menus and inform guest of their server name. Answer telephone and record reservations. Place appropriate shift menus at host stand. Familiar with menu and daily specials. Ensure host stand is staffed during servicing times. Inform kitchen staff of large reservations or special preparation requests. Assist waitstaff and bus staff when necessary. Keep surrounding areas around host station neat and organized. Communicate with guests concerning reservation timing. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Respond to guest needs and refer comments to manager/supervisor. Observe service standards throughout dining room and respond accordingly. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications Host experience preferred, but not necessary Knowledge in reservation tracking system preferred but not necessary Availability to work weekends and Holidays required Microsoft Word & Excel experience preferred While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
Responsibilities
The host is responsible for welcoming and seating guests efficiently while managing reservations. They also ensure the host stand is organized and assist waitstaff as needed.
