PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Providing a warm, welcoming greeting to our members and their guests. Ensure that members are seated in a timely manner in accordance with The Quin service standards and ensuring high member satisfaction and an exceptional dining experience. ABOUT THIS ROLE * Provides leadership and instills a culture and work environment based upon respect, providing opportunities for staff to learn, grows and develops their abilities through training of employees, creating a positive, productive working environment * Understands all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines for The Quin * Greet and seat members with a smile at appropriate tables in a timely manner * Be attentive of members’ needs * Assist in providing a pleasant dining experience * Assist in collection of credit cards from members and servers as needed. * Answer the telephone/take reservations/properly inform guests of all offerings * Ensure quality control of menus regarding cleanliness and appearance * Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist * Have a complete knowledge of standards of service * Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable venues * Assist servers in the servicing of guests as needed * Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided * Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations * Ensure overall guest satisfaction. * Assist in the investigation of member complaints regarding food quality and service * Ability to assist in other related food and beverage outlets if and when required * Assume additional tasks assigned to you by your direct supervisor or any manager of The Quin that are reasonable requests WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Experience in a hotel or restaurant experience preferred * Service oriented style with professional presentations skills * Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming * A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work * Ability to learn and master NorthStar POS * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Detail oriented, good prioritization and follow up skills * Basic understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Employment Legislation * Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business * Comfortable with WORD * High School Diploma or equivalent * Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business * Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite * High School Diploma or equivalent * Strong written and verbal English skills, additional languages are a plus
