Host – Namo Sushi & Bar Colette We are seeking a hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our upscale sushi restaurant. This role is essential in creating a refined first impression and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, maintaining a calm and elegant presence Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow with precision and attention to detail Escort guests to their tables while presenting the restaurant with knowledge and poise Communicate effectively with servers, sushi chefs, and management to coordinate service Provide accurate wait times and ensure guest comfort during busy periods Answer phone calls, manage bookings, and accommodate special requests when possible Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area Qualifications: Previous host or customer service experience, preferably in fine dining or upscale environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure Attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional guest service Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred: Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) Knowledge or appreciation of sushi and Japanese dining culture What We Offer: Competitive pay Opportunities for growth within a high-end hospitality environment A collaborative, respectful team culture
