We at Wing House Petrolia are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Host/Busser. In this position, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, showcasing specials, taking phone orders, bussing tables and washing dishes. We are a part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be quick on their feet and able to survey a room to aide Servers in providing excellent service. Must be available to work weekends and holidays, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take and accurately input food and beverage orders over the phone.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and policies.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and prevent overindulgence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and dining areas.
- Bus tables, wash dishes and perform other cleaning tasks as needed.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items and specials.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and courteously.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
- Smart Serve certified preferred.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
- Team player mentality with a willingness to assist coworkers.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions.
