Chanhassen Dinner Theatre Host/Hostess Job Description Updated: 01/2024 Job Title: Host Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Food & Beverage Managers FLSA Status: non-exempt Summary The host/hostess position is responsible to greet and seat guest, help with service, communicate with management and service staff regarding guest satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities & Duties: * Check work list. * Prepare programs if necessary. * Assist in setting up dining rooms. * Communicate any difficulties or changes to managers. * Attend “cue call”. * Greet customers and escort them to their seats * Accommodate guests with special needs. * Communicate any inquiries, special requests, complaints/compliments to Food & Beverage Manager on duty. * Help with service, pour water & coffee, clear tables, communicate with service staff any guest special requests. * Respond to emergencies appropriately. * Work as a team member and assist co-workers when needed. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * No prior experience needed; prior customer experience preferred. * Must be a team player. * Must be able to multitask. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands * Must be able to stand on feet for 6 or more hours at a time. * Must be able to lift to 40lbs.
