Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as the Full-Time Seasonal Host/ess .
The Host/ess is the first interaction for guests in our Restaurants, and is the designer of memorable experiences. This role is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. This role is part of the Braidwood Tavern team, reporting into the Food and Beverage Managers.
Hourly Wage: $20.00 - $22.00

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Open or Close Braidwood Tavern or Sidecut Steakhouse at the designated start time .
  • Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience in collaboration with a team of servers
  • Manage the host stand, review the reservation book and make recommendations as to the setup of the table sections
  • Assign seating for guests, considering service standards and understanding server sections and daily assignments.
  • Take reservations via online portals and telephone.
  • Develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and restaurant information
  • Personally interact with each guest, greeting them promptly and courteously.
  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their table and server.
  • Ensure cleanliness of each section of the dining rooms and make necessary improvements as well as check each table prior to opening to ensure its proper set
  • Handle administrative duties during downtime.
