Job DetailsJob Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308Salary Range: $13.00 - $13.00Job Summary: The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. This role manages reservations, seating, and guest flow to ensure a smooth dining experience while upholding Kaluz’s brand of refined hospitality. The Host/Hostess plays a vital role in setting the tone for the guest experience and supporting the FOH team. Job Responsibilities: Guest Service & Hospitality • Greet guests promptly, professionally, and with genuine warmth. • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the designated system. • Escort guests to their tables while ensuring proper rotation for servers. • Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate effectively with guests. • Respond to guest inquiries about the restaurant, menu, and services. Operational Excellence • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entrance area. • Manage menus and promotional materials at the front desk. • Monitor guest flow and communicate seating needs with servers and managers. • Support service flow by assisting with table resets when needed. Brand Standards & Teamwork • Uphold Kaluz’s image of sophistication, professionalism, and hospitality. • Maintain knowledge of the menu, including features and promotions. • Assist the FOH Manager and servers in ensuring seamless guest service. • Foster a positive and team-oriented environment by supporting staff as needed. QualificationsQualifications, Education, & Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility successfully. This person must present a neat appearance and have a warm, cheerful personality. Tact and good judgment are especially beneficial characteristics. This person must also possess the knowledge, skill, and ability to carry out the job responsibilities. Physical Demands: • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. • Ability to move quickly and safely through the dining room and lobby. • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
