Description The Host serves as the first point of contact for members and guests visiting Gravity Haus dining outlets. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression, managing guest flow, and ensuring an organized and efficient seating process. Hosts play an important role in supporting the overall guest experience by coordinating reservations, managing waitlists, and communicating with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service. This role embodies Gravity Haus hospitality standards and helps create a warm, inclusive atmosphere for all guests. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience Greet members and guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant. Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists to ensure efficient seating and guest flow. Communicate accurate wait times and seating expectations to guests. Escort guests to tables and provide menus as appropriate. Assist guests with questions regarding the menu, restaurant operations, or Gravity Haus amenities. Service Coordination Coordinate seating with servers, bartenders, and managers to ensure balanced table distribution and smooth service. Monitor table availability and dining room activity to optimize guest flow. Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams regarding large parties or special requests. Maintain organization of the host stand and reservation system. Operational Support Assist with opening and closing duties for the host stand. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance and front-of-house areas. Support the team during busy service periods to ensure a seamless guest experience. Assist with special events, group reservations, and high-volume service periods. Standards & Team Collaboration Maintain a welcoming, professional presence at all times. Uphold Gravity Haus service standards and hospitality culture. Work collaboratively with all front-of-house team members to support successful service. Escalate guest concerns to management when necessary. What We’re Looking For Previous hospitality or restaurant experience preferred. Strong communication and guest service skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Experience with reservation or POS systems preferred. A proactive, team-first attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed. Comfort working nights, weekends, and holidays as business requires. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
