Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you’ll set the tone for an authentic Irish pub experience by greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations in our bustling environment.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and seat guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using our booking system.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about menu items, events, or bookings.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient table turnover.
• Assist with light bussing or food running during peak hours.
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
• Support special events, such as live music nights or private bookings.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards in line with Nova Scotia regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (pub hours: 11 AM–midnight, later on Fridays/Saturdays).
• Must have valid government-issued photo ID and be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Knowledge of Irish culture or hospitality is a plus!

Pay: $50,000.00-$61,400.00 per year
