Island Mix Restaurant & Lounge is seeking a warm, professional, and outgoing Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. This role requires someone who thrives in a loud, high-energy environment and can remain organized and upbeat during busy shifts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Customer service or hosting experience is an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a loud, busy, and vibrant lounge/restaurant setting
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and professional appearance

• Greet all guests with a friendly and professional attitude
• Manage waitlists and seating assignments efficiently
• Answer phones, take reservations, and provide accurate wait times
• Coordinate with servers and management to maintain smooth guest flow
• Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and presentable
• Offer menus and basic information about food, drinks, and events
• Support the team during peak hours, helping with table resets or guest inquiries
