We are currently seeking a friendly and professional individual with weekend availability to join our team as part-time Host/Hostess at Nobu Restaurant, Toronto. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them to the restaurant with warmth and hospitality. Responsibilities: Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanour, providing an exceptional first impression and setting the tone for their dining experience. Manage the reservation system, including seating assignments, table availability, and guest inquiries, to ensure efficient seating and optimal guest flow. Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus, and providing information about daily specials, promotions, and restaurant offerings. Anticipate guest needs and preferences, making recommendations and assisting with menu selections to enhance the dining experience. Coordinate with Servers, Captains, and Management to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess station and waiting area, including tidying menus, arranging seating, and replenishing supplies as needed. Manage guest waitlists during busy periods, providing accurate wait time estimates and effectively communicating with guests to manage expectations. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner, resolving issues promptly and escalating to management as needed. Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, taking reservations, and processing payments, to support the overall operation of the restaurant. Requirements: Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment. Must have full availability on weekends Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality. Strong organizational abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for providing exceptional service to guests.
