Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome diners, assist with reservations, provide accurate wait time estimates, and escort them to their tables.
  • Reservations & Waitlist Management:Maintain a reservation system, manage waitlists, and update guests on wait times.
  • Customer Service:Provide a friendly and sociable experience, answer questions about the menu or restaurant, and handle any customer complaints or concerns.
  • Communication:Interact with guests and coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Dining Room Maintenance:Ensure the front-of-house and waiting areas are clean, tidy, and well-organized.
  • Phone Management:Answer incoming calls, take reservations, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Table Management:Optimize seating arrangements to balance workload for servers and maintain an even flow of guests.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Communication Skills:Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with guests and staff.
  • Customer Service:A welcoming and positive attitude to ensure guests feel well-cared for.
  • Organization & Attention to Detail:Ability to manage multiple tasks, reservations, and a clean dining area, especially in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is often required.
