Description
Under supervision and in accordance with standard procedures performs a variety of basic and routine tasks relating to the pre-preparation, assembly, and distribution of food for Medical Center patients, visitors, and staff. Promotes meal assistance for all patients on a daily basis, including meal selection, service, and retrieval. Accurately serves food and beverages to patients in accordance with the patient's prescription diet. Verbally communicates patient concerns with the clinical dietitians such as education needs and inadequate meal consumption. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Complies with all infection control and safety standards. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior. Works under the direct supervision of a food service manager, supervisor, or designee who assigns and inspects work for conformance to established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
