Job Summary As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. You will work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced environment to ensure smooth seating operations and deliver an exceptional dining experience. Your role is critical in managing reservations, coordinating table assignments, and maintaining clear communication between guests and the service team. Responsibilities · Promote and maintain positive guest relations by creating a welcoming atmosphere. · Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner upon arrival. · Engage in friendly conversation while seating guests promptly and efficiently. · Introduce guests to their server to ensure a smooth transition. · Manage the restaurant waitlist during high-volume periods, accurately setting guest expectations. · Maintain the flow of the restaurant by coordinating seating and table turnover. · Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly to prepare for the next guest. · Sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. · Work collaboratively as a team member to support overall operations. · Attend and participate in ongoing training sessions, read shift notes, and attend shift meetings. · Adhere to company policies and standards. Qualifications · Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred. · Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. · Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. · Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. · Basic knowledge of reservation systems (OpenTable experience is a plus). · Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly between tasks. · Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. · Professional appearance and demeanor. · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest concerns gracefully.
