We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team at The King’s Arms in downtown Oakville. The ideal candidate is welcoming, organized, and able to manage the flow of guests in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant setting
• Strong knowledge of reservation systems (OpenTable or similar)
• Comfortable using iPads and basic technology
• Ability to manage waitlists, move and adjust reservations, and optimize seating to support service flow
• Excellent communication skills with both guests and staff
• Professional, positive, and friendly demeanor
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure

• Greet and seat guests with a warm, professional attitude
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating charts efficiently
• Communicate wait times and manage guest expectations
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service
• Handle phone calls and inquiries regarding reservations and events
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area
