Description About the Role Mira Vista Country Club is seeking a polished, friendly, and hospitality-focused Host/Hostess to join our Food & Beverage team. As the welcoming face of the club’s dining experience, this role is responsible for creating a warm and professional first impression while ensuring smooth and efficient dining room operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys building relationships with members, and takes pride in delivering elevated customer service. Our Host/Hostess team plays an essential role in maintaining smooth dining operations while creating memorable experiences for members and their guests from the moment they arrive. What You’ll Do Hospitality & Member Experience Greet members and guests promptly with a warm, polished, and professional demeanor Create a welcoming atmosphere while delivering exceptional hospitality and personalized service Build positive relationships with members by recognizing preferences and anticipating guest needs Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate Reservations & Dining Coordination Manage reservations and dining flow using OpenTable and Jonas POS systems Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently while communicating with servers, managers, and kitchen staff Monitor dining room capacity, wait times, and table turnover to maximize guest satisfaction Answer phone calls professionally while assisting with reservations, dining inquiries, and member requests Front Desk & Operational Support Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and reception area Support special events, holiday dining experiences, and club functions as needed Uphold club standards for professionalism, appearance, hospitality, and service excellence Assist the Food & Beverage team in maintaining smooth daily dining operations Benefits Full-time employees may be eligible for: Health benefits Employee dining discounts Opportunities for growth and advancement within the club Work Environment This position operates in a high-energy hospitality environment where teamwork, professionalism, and member satisfaction are top priorities. Requirements What We’re Looking For Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced hospitality environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to member satisfaction Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Qualifications Previous experience as a Host/Hostess, receptionist, or customer service professional preferred Restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club experience strongly preferred Experience using OpenTable or similar reservation software preferred Experience with Jonas POS systems is a plus Private club or upscale dining experience highly preferred Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events
