OBON Sushi Bar Ramen - The Grove is currently looking for an upbeat Host/Hostess to become part of the family at our Scottsdale location The Grove.
Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Answer telephone, take reservations and manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with managers, kitchen personnel and guests.
• Customer service oriented
• Proficient in the use of internet and other computerized business tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Team work oriented.
• Written and oral communication in Spanish Language is a plus.
• Present a positive, professional image.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Long periods of standing on hard surfaces, walking, lifting.
• Constant exposure to noise throughout the workday.
• Constant need to lift / carry materials and other supplies with little physical effort.
• The use of hands and arms to reach for, handle, feel, grasp, and manipulate objects is required.
  We’re not looking for individuals that have the greatest experience we’re looking for individuals that can give the greatest service that have the ability to learn follow directions proficiently, and above all just have a desire to grow and be the best in the industry.
  We can teach skills we can’t teach attitude and effort.
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

• Receives and greets members and guests.
• Inspects dining room to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
• Assures that cleaning is completed as required of her area and bathrooms throughout the shift.
• Manages the guest reservation system.
• Assists with service of food and beverages when needed.
• Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed.
• Ensures that all dining room reservations taken are on the appropriate day for the appropriate time.
• Assists the staff on the floor if possible and when necessary.
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the host/hostess desk.
• Ensures that all menus are properly stored and in their proper place.
• Keeps menus clean and replaces them when needed.
• Reports complaints to Manager as soon as received.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
