Oretta Hospitality is expanding!
Our New location Oretta Downtown is looking for experienced Hosts to join our team! The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant with excellent customer service skills, passion for hospitality, and a team-oriented environment. Previous experience working in fine dining with Italian food and wine knowledge is considered an asset.

Oretta first opened their doors in 2017 to provide Toronto’s vibrant King West area with an authentic yet modern day Italian culinary experience.
In 2022 Oretta Midtown opened, and we are very excited to announce the opening of our third location, Oretta Downtown set to open in August 2025.
We focus on delivering genuine Italian cuisine,
emphasizing fresh, high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods.
Our menu features a variety of classic Italian dishes with innovative twists on traditional
recipes. The restaurant’s design typically reflects a blend of classic Italian elegance with
modern aesthetics.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for full-time Hosts to join our Front of House team. The ideal candidate has experience in customer service, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task and bring a positive energy to the floor. As a member of the Host team, you are the first person that guests interact with when they walk through the door. Delivering a warm greeting and excellent customer service is imperative to the role, whether it’s in person, over the phone, or by email response. We are looking for reliable and organized individuals that take on several daily tasks, including helping on the floor clearing and resetting tables and communicating with the team if there are reservation-related details. Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced dining establishment with guest interaction is an asset!

• Availability with both day and night shifts during the week as well as on weekends and Holidays (candidates who are fully available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be strongly considered)
• Smart Serve Certification is required
• Experience with OpenTable and Tripleseat is a strong asset
• Good understanding of English language is required, knowing Italian is also an asset!

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Reporting to the Manager on duty
• Assisting with Opening or Closing of the Host desk
• Extensive knowledge of OpenTable
• Preparing tables for reservations and walk-ins, seating guests promptly and in server rotation
• Following daily Host checklists, including beautifications, shift cleanliness and washroom checks
• Organizing reservations, answering phone calls, voicemails, and email inquiries promptly
• Ensuring every guest is warmly greeted and given a friendly farewell
• Working as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Bringing a positive attitude and professional work ethic to the floor
• Tripleseat experience an asset
• Adhering to Oretta Employee handbook
