Description Seeking an independent problem-solver to assist in team leadership by setting an example of excellence and creating an incredible customer experience! As Host or Hostess at the Farmhouse Restaurant, you'll take responsibility for assigned restaurant operations in the absence of a manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate professional behavior in your interactions with guests, employees, vendors, and managers. Ensure the appearance of the entire restaurant (buffet lines, dining areas, guest entries, and checkout areas) is always appealing. Monitor guest experience throughout the restaurant to ensure the highest level of customer service. Maintain and enforce company standards of safety, sanitation, and security. Follow all cash-handling procedures as outlined by your supervisor and be familiar with the POS system. Direct team members and provide feedback to recognize good staff performance and correct behavior that is not up to the company standard. Complete administrative duties as assigned, which may include but are not limited to: preparing and changing seating arrangements, assisting with inventories, documenting customer requests and concerns, filing, answering the phone and directing calls, managing email. Supervise opening and/or closing duties for front of the house. Requirements Professional demeanor and appearance. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer proficiency, along with the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and train others in their use. Organizational abilities and the ability to multi-task. Ability to hear, speak, and physically navigate potentially loud and crowded spaces. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and to lift at least 25lb. when necessary. Willingness to both be a team player and to take a leading role on that team. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Reliable transportation. Proven experience in a leading role in a restaurant or other hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
