A host is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment customers enter the establishment. Key Responsibilities Greet Guests: Welcome customers as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Manage Reservations: Handle the reservation book, ensuring all bookings are accurately recorded and confirmed. Seating Arrangements: Escort guests to their tables, considering their preferences and the flow of the dining area. Provide Menus: Present menus to guests and inform them of daily specials or promotions. Monitor Dining Activity: Keep track of table availability and manage waitlists during busy periods. Assist Staff: Support servers and other restaurant staff as needed, including cleaning and resetting tables. Answer Inquiries: Respond to phone calls and customer questions regarding the menu, reservations, and restaurant policies.
