Duties and Responsibilities As F&B Hostess, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: * Greet guests on arrival and conduct welcome and check-in procedures in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. * Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departments standards. * Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu. * Ensure that you serve all the guest face towel. * Recommend and promote items as directed by supervisor. * Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary * Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene. * Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements. * Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition. * Attend meetings and training as required. * Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards. Qualifications To execute the position of F&B Hostess, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: * hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality or Barista school and more than one year’s experience in a similar operational role. * Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sell platforms. I have knowledge of hotel/resort and policies on discounts/food promotion etc. * I am familiar with Food and beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory. * Fluent in English The above is intended to provide an overview of the role and responsibilities for a F&B Hostess at Six Senses Amaala It is not and does not infer that the above is an inclusive and/or exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities inherent to the position.
