Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the organization’s ESXi, Windows, and Linux systems, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of system administrators and engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team’s success and professional development.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to ESXi, Windows, and Linux systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • System Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient ESXi, Windows, and Linux-based systems, including virtualized infrastructure, networking, storage, and security solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors, senior leaders and service providers to evaluate and procure hardware, software, and services for ESXi, Windows, and Linux systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that ESXi, Windows, and Linux systems comply with industry regulations, security best practices, and organizational policies, conducting audits and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement measures to enhance the efficiency and reliability of ESXi, Windows, and Linux systems.
  • Incident Response and Problem Resolution: Lead the response to system incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with the team to resolve problems promptly and minimize impact on operations.
  • Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with key stakeholders, including IT leadership, business executives, and Application teams, to provide updates on system initiatives, address concerns, and solicit feedback to improve services
