Description Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for moving full trailers of empty bottles from the warehouse to the appropriate door for unloading by Anheuser-Busch personnel Operate a single axle spotting tractor and take direction from the warehouse team leader for assignment activity Perform work onsite at a single facility, and does not operate the truck on public roads As directed by dispatcher and or team leader, hook to full trailers of bottles, transport a short distance to the appropriate dock door and back in the door Monitor all docks for trailers that have been unloaded and pull empty trailers from the doors and replace with full loads Work with Anheuser-Busch Depal Operator to load outbound dunnage Primarily work is performed in a hostler truck/outdoors Employee will be exposed to hot, cold, wet, diesel fumes, noise, allergens, moving equipment, etc. typically found at busy shipping location Driver may be required to complete tasks inside the warehouse depending on requirements of the customer where there is exposure to noise, heat, cold, moving equipment, etc. Punctuality and regular attendance is mandatory Other duties and assignments as requested by management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to safely and efficiently spot, drop and hook trailers using a spotting tractor Ability to effectively communicate using direct-connect devices Able to follow instructions from dispatchers and team leaders Must possess demonstrated history of excellent attendance Possess the confidence and ability to multi-task in pressure situations Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, active listening skills, and ability to maintain focus amid distractions Problem solving skills and willingness and ability to take decisive action to overcome anticipated and unanticipated obstacles Requirements Minimum Qualifications HS diploma or equivalent work experience Must be willing to work any shift and non-standard work weeks as assigned Minimum of two years of verifiable Class-A CDL experience Minimum one year spotting experience Verifiable participation in a DOT approved random drug and alcohol testing program Proficiency on computer, using MS Office (Excel, Work, and Outlook) required Effective professional written and verbal communication skills • Active driver’s license in good standing Physical Job Description Typical Working Conditions: Primarily work is performed in a hostler truck/outdoors. Employee will be exposed to hot, cold, wet, diesel fumes, noise, allergens, moving equipment, etc. typically found at busy shipping location. Driver may be required to complete tasks inside the warehouse depending on requirements of the customer where there is exposure to noise, heat, cold, moving equipment, etc. Equipment Used: Will work with the following: driver will be required to operate a hostler truck/yard goat. Employee will be required to open trailer doors, slide tandems, secure air lines, lower and raise landing gear, etc. Driver may be required to operate dock doors and dock plates depending on customer requirements. Essential Physical Tasks: Lifting and carrying boxes of equipment/product (not to exceed 50 lbs.), climbing into/out of the yard goat multiple times per day, climbing into/out of a trailer, climbing a ladder, walking/standing/sitting/climbing for long periods of time.
