The Hot Station Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in the hot kitchen line, following established recipes and standards. This role ensures consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency in every dish served, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent culinary skills, and upholds food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–2 years of previous cooking experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Handler’s Certification (or ServSafe) required or must be obtained upon hire.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to moderate weight.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality food consistently

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner services on the hot line (e.g., grill, sauté, broiler, fryer).
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the hotel or Executive Chef.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
Ensure all food is prepared to proper temperature and quality standards.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies prior to service.
Work in coordination with the culinary team and service staff to ensure timely and smooth meal service.
Assist with the preparation and execution of banquet or special event menus as needed.
Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
Monitor and minimize food waste, reporting shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.
Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership.
This is an hourly position with a compensation of $37.54 per hour.
