Job Description As a Hotel Accountant, you will report to the Director of Finance and support a broad scope of finance and accounting functions, ensuring the hotel finance department operates effectively and efficiently. You will be a true all-rounder handling all the aspects of General Ledger accounting whilst processing data in various information systems used across hotel. What you will be doing: Data processing in the various information systems including subsidiary software and portals used for hotel accounting and tax purposes Generate reports and process financial transactions Assist with the Monthly General Ledger reconciliations Provide assistance and support all positions of the Finance department as needed. Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Tertiary qualified with previous experience in a similar role in a large hotel Excellent verbal and written communication Strong technical skills and a high level of computer literacy Proficiency with SUN systems and Opera Proficiency with rostering, payroll and purchasing systems (Wage Easy, Time Target, PMS, MRI Robotics and Purchase Plus preferred) Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Knowledge of the Hospitality Award and experience with Collective Agreements Attention to detail Willingness to work flexible hours to meet given deadlines Working towards obtaining a CA or CPA qualification.
