HOTEL ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

4-Star Dublin City Hotel | Full-Time | €42,000–€45,000 DOE
A leading 4-star hotel in Dublin City is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Accounts Assistant to support the finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in hospitality finance to further their career in a dynamic and professional environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will assist in managing payroll, processing financial reports, and ensuring day-to-day financial operations run smoothly.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within hospitality
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and reporting processes
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial software
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
Responsibilities
  • Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting
  • Process hotel payroll and ensure timely and accurate staff payments
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure supplier accounts are up to date and reconcile monthly statements
  • Assist with cash handling procedures and monitor the hotel’s credit policy
  • Support the External Auditor with annual audit preparation
  • Maintain debtor control and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Provide daily support to the finance team and assist in training junior staff
  • Ensure financial compliance with internal controls and legal regulations
