An exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to offer exemplary customer service in our 4 Star Boutique Hotel. This role gives the opportunity to learn about all aspects of running a small hotel in a hands-on capacity.
As Duty Manager you will be expected to have full responsibility for the smooth operation of the Hotel when you are on duty.
Role
To be the Front Line in Managing all Front of House Staff
To be the Front line in managing all customer complaints and queries
Reception: Use of Welcome Anywhere Hotel booking system, Meet & Greet, Open-up/close-down procedures, Check-in/check-out, billing, banking, telephone & email confirmation of reservations.
Bar: Serving drinks, ordering guests’ meals, guest liaison.
Food service: Supervising setting up the restaurant and service.
Team Training: of new restaurant staff.
Any other tasks that are required on a daily basis
Shift Pattern
The average hours worked each week is about 45 hours, although at times this may be exceeded in busy periods.
Shifts are 5 days out of 7 generally from 6.30 am - 3.00 pm or 2.45 pm – 11.45 pm (or finish). Weekends off are taken in rotation with the other Duty Managers.
The Person
· A customer service professional ideally with a restaurant/hotel background and a warm personality.
· A person who has the work experience necessary to deal with staff effectively, supervise and train, and deal with disciplinary issues.
· A person with the work experience necessary to deal with and solve customer complaints and maintenance issues whenever they arise
· An excellent communicator with people of all ages and cultures.
· An individual who reacts positively to change and will maintain stable performance levels under pressure.
· Flexibility and adaptability in quieter periods
One year’s management experience is required.
Ideal for a person currently in a supervisory position and is wanting to take the next step in to hotel management.
Salary: Dependant on experience
