DESCRIPTION

A well-maintained hotel has a direct positive impact on the guest satisfaction. Therefore citizenM is looking for a hotel engineer who can help us to complete the day to day maintenance. The successful candidate has a positive attitude, is willing to learn and discover new things, has a hands-on mentality, acts as a problem-solver, and is eager to take responsibility. A proactive mindset, curiosity, and a sociable personality are very important elements for this role. You will communicate with the hotel manager, housekeeping department, and all subcontractors.
We’re thrilled to be opening our first hotel in Dublin (how exciting is that!), and we’re eager to assemble a dynamic engineering team that will play a pivotal role in our journey.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • A skilled, well rounded engineer with basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Be open to challenges.
  • Capable of working independently where needed.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in French with preference of communication in English. Any additional language skills are beneficial.
  • Have basic IT knowledge of (google suite, MS office).
  • Be eager to learn and develop.
  • Ready to work in a team, alongside hotel staff and various citizenM departments.
  • Passionate and proactive attitude.
  • Customer focused with a priority for guest’ experience.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure our rooms are working well and meet expectations.
  • Be aware of room availability and keep hotel teams updated of the changes.
  • Support the hotel team with technical challenges and troubleshooting.
  • On call in case of emergencies - including weekends and out of hours where necessary.
  • Coordinate 3rd party subcontractors in terms of preventive maintenance and be the 1st point of contact in case of any issues with the building installations.
  • Proactive approach to overall hotel safety and keeping on top of the compliance requirements in the building.
  • Minimize downtime of essential operating equipment, mitigating the impact on the guest at all times.
  • Report to the senior engineer on the overall property status - inventory, compliance and ongoing works.
  • Replenishes supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimizes waste.
