Description

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the housekeeping and laundry operations. This includes maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in accordance with Marriott and company standards, managing departmental costs, and leading a team of associates.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of housekeeping supervisory or management experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and a hands-on management approach. Proficient with computer and property management systems.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of a 24/7 hotel op

Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Supervise the daily shift operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments. Manage the general cleaning schedule and ensure timely room readiness in coordination with the front desk.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure all cleanliness, safety, and brand standards are consistently met. Develop and implement policies to enhance efficiency and service.
  • Team Leadership: Interview, hire, train, and develop the housekeeping team. Create work schedules, assign duties, monitor performance, and coach associates to achieve exceptional guest service.
  • Inventory & Budgeting: Manage and maintain inventory levels of all cleaning supplies, linens, and guest room amenities. Participate in the department’s budget planning and manage controllable expenses to meet financial goals.
  • Guest Relations: Address and resolve guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other departments, such as Engineering, to coordinate maintenance needs and ensure all rooms are in optimal condition.
