The Hotel General Manager for Barceló Cappadocia will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of the hotel. This role demands a dynamic and experienced professional to ensure exceptional guest experiences, maximize profitability, and uphold Barceló's brand standards within the unique and captivating setting of Cappadocia. Main Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Performance: Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve and exceed financial targets, including revenue generation, cost control, and profit maximization. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Operational Excellence: Oversee all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales & marketing, human resources, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to Barceló's high-quality standards and service protocols. Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and staff productivity. Guest Experience & Brand Reputation: Champion a culture of exceptional guest service, ensuring every guest interaction reflects Barceló's commitment to quality and hospitality. Proactively address guest concerns and feedback to resolve issues effectively and enhance brand loyalty. Maintain the reputation of Barceló Cappadocia as a premier destination. Financial Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize profitability. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies. Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing team. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting professional development and effective communication across all departments. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies to increase occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and market share. Represent the hotel at industry events and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Asset Management & Maintenance: Ensure the hotel property, facilities, and equipment are well-maintained and in excellent working condition, adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Oversee renovation projects and capital expenditures as required. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international laws and regulations pertinent to hotel operations, including health, safety, environmental, and labor laws. Implement and monitor risk management strategies to safeguard guests, staff, and assets. What are we looking for? Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel management, with at least 3-5 years as a General Manager in a full-service hotel, preferably within a luxury or upscale brand. Experience in the Turkish hospitality market, particularly in a tourist-heavy region like Cappadocia, is highly desirable. Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams. Strong decision-making and problem-solving. Financial Acumen: Excellent understanding of hotel financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management principles. Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of all hotel operational departments, including front office, F&B, housekeeping, sales, and maintenance. Customer Service Orientation: A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a proven track record of achieving high guest satisfaction scores. Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills in both English and Turkish are essential. Proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to achieve organizational goals. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in hotel management systems (PMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant hospitality software. Adaptability:Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions and guest needs.
