WHO WE’RE SEEKING?

A passionate, fair, socially responsible and customer obsessed General Manager for our Sails in the Desert Hotel at beautiful Ayers Rock Resort.
We are looking for a professional with the ability to deliver exceptional standards with experience in managing large Food & Beverage operations and a demonstrated track record of developing, new innovative products and the ability to back it up by delivering on the ground. You will have a passion and drive for outstanding services standards, combined with a demonstrated history of developing, coaching and mentoring your team towards this. An infectious positivity and ability to motivate your team, while being resilient, calm and able to manage dynamic and pressure situations.
Relevant experience, qualifications and senior leadership exposure that demonstrates your solid business acumen and suitability for the responsibility, management, profitability and strategic direction of our Operation.

Responsibilities

Your day to day will be leading a diverse team by providing guidance to all department heads and working within our company commitment. This isn’t any regular Hotel Manager gig you will have the chance to change lives of Indigenous Australian’s by providing market leading training and employment programs while empowering a growing indigenous workforce.
You will be an operationally minded General Manager who leads from the front by managing all aspects of the hotel operations and empower the team to drive high levels of guest satisfaction throughout all aspects our Zone 1 team and did I mention you will be able to connect with guests directly.

A snapshot of your new role:

  • Leading the large scale Food & Beverage operation including 6 Outdoor Dining Sites, 2 Restaurants, 1 Café, 2 seasonal restaurants, 1 Lobby Bar, In-Room Dining, Conference & Events, from 10 up to a 500 pax venue.
  • 2 Hotels including the 5 Star Luxury, Sails in the Desert Hotel (228 Rooms) and the 3 Star Budget Style Accommodation, The Lost Camel (100 Rooms), Two Pools and 1 Luxury Day Spa
  • These hotels have a yearly Occupancy of approx. 80% with High Season from April to September with Occupancy
  • Position responsible for $60+m in revenue @45% EBITDA
