We are seeking an experienced Head Receptionist to lead our front desk team at our beautiful hotel nestled in the heart of the New Forest. This is a full-time position, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis.

We are seeking an experienced Head Receptionist to lead our front desk team at our beautiful hotel nestled in the heart of the New Forest. This is a full-time position, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the front desk and manage a small team of 3 reception staff
  • Ensure smooth and professional guest check-in and check-out experiences
  • Use of Rezlynx (essential) to manage bookings, room allocations and reporting
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and handle guest queries efficiently
  • Respond professionally to third-party reviews and guest feedback
  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping, Night Porter and Central Reservations teams
  • Plan ahead for arrivals, events, conferences and afternoon teas
  • Carry out daily banking procedures and basic bar work as needed
  • Assist with service during afternoon teas and small functions
  • Build strong relationships with regular guests and offer a warm welcome to all
